Currently in beta, the 3DNES emulator adds depth to original Nintendo classics. It looks a little weird at first, but is definitely an interesting project.
Unfortunately, there is no local executable to download, it’s only for the Firefox browser. Give it a go!
With VR headsets reaching consumers hands this year, many are excited for what they can experience. From riding a roller coaster in 1st person to having a birds eye view of an abandoned city, the possibilities keep growing. Luckily, some developers have been thinking retrospectively. Though, it wasn’t Nintendo that thought to bring the hallmark of NES light gun shooters to new depths.
Joseph Delgado is an indie developer who recently took to the task of porting the classic to an Oculus Rift headset. Surprisingly, he did all of it in just 24 hours as apart of the annual Global Game Jam.
Delgado recently posted he ported the Duck Hunt VR project using different hardware.
A reboot of an old favorite 4X strategy game has been added to Steam! Purchasing the game for $50 entitles you to experience the new game as it develops and the original three in the series.
Personally, MOO II and III were my favorite, I’m excited to see how this turns out!
Yasunori Mitsuda’s original composition of the Chrono Trigger soundtrack is widely acclaimed as one of the best in any video game. And why not have more Chrono Trigger music? A fully licensed, 75-track tribute is now downloadable through iTunes and LOUDR.
The album is named Chronicles of Time and was produced by Nate Horsfall, the same person who produced another tribute album to Secret of Mana. Over a hundred artists worked together to complete the albums enormous track list, giving the album its varied sound through many interpretations and genres.
