Mega Man Legends 2 to hit PSN in April

The Mega Man Legends series had a minimal splash on the original PlayStation upon release and throughout the years. The first installment was even ported to the N64 and had a sequel only released for the PlayStation, printed in low quantities. Mega Man Legends 2 now fetches a hefty price at retailers and in online auctions, some times breaching $125 US, much more if the copy is factory sealed.

However, a much lower price tag would make the great and overlooked MML2 a more viable prospect to gamers. The PlayStation Blogcast recently announced that the game would be available in April 2016 on the PSN Store. Like most other PS1 games that are released on the PSN, it can be assumed that it will only be compatible with the PS3 and Vita handheld system.

With this addition hitting PSN, it would make the trio of PlayStation Mega Man Legend games complete (Mega Man LegendsMega Man Legends 2 and The Misadventures of Tron Bonne).

Duck Hunt in virtual reality

With VR headsets reaching consumers hands this year, many are excited for what they can experience. From riding a roller coaster in 1st person to having a birds eye view of an abandoned city, the possibilities keep growing. Luckily, some developers have been thinking retrospectively. Though, it wasn’t Nintendo that thought to bring the hallmark of NES light gun shooters to new depths.

Joseph Delgado is an indie developer who recently took to the task of porting the classic to an Oculus Rift headset. Surprisingly, he did all of it in just 24 hours as apart of the annual Global Game Jam.

Delgado recently posted he ported the Duck Hunt VR project using different hardware.

Chrono Trigger tribute album now available

Yasunori Mitsuda’s original composition of the Chrono Trigger soundtrack is widely acclaimed as one of the best in any video game. And why not have more Chrono Trigger music? A fully licensed, 75-track tribute is now downloadable through iTunes and LOUDR.

The album is named Chronicles of Time and was produced by Nate Horsfall, the same person who produced another tribute album to Secret of Mana. Over a hundred artists worked together to complete the albums enormous track list, giving the album its varied sound through many interpretations and genres.
