Retro Movie Monday: Crash Bandicoot visits Nintendo

Once again visiting the 32-bit era of gaming when Sony, Sega and Nintendo were the main competitors in the home console market, we see newest and biggest threat to both Sega and Nintendo trying to make a place for themselves. At the time, video mascots were hard to forge, let alone brand with consumers. Though Crash Bandicoot was exclusive to PlayStation for a while, he has since been lost to time without any word on what may happen to the franchise.

Claiming many things and boasting the power of the CD-ROM powered PS1, Crash takes the fight right to Nintendo’s doorstep, which at the time was selling the cartridge based  N64. Crash may have never had the power to take down Mario, but he sure had some great commercials.
